Summary:
The Production Manager in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry oversees the manufacturing process in a factory or warehouse setting. They lead and manage the production team, develop project plans, and optimize production processes to ensure high-quality goods are produced in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the production team
Develop project plans, schedules, and budget estimates
Track and report on production metrics
Design and implement production processes and workflows
Perform regular inventory and quality control checks
Train and mentor staff
Liaise with suppliers, production partners, and other stakeholders
Manage equipment maintenance and repairs
Analyze production data and develop recommendations for process improvements
Ensure products meet regulatory standards and customer specifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or another relevant field
Several years of experience in production management
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
