Are you mechanically minded with an eye for precision? Ready to step away from basic assembly and build a career at the forefront of advanced materials technology?
Join a market leader in high-precision acoustic ceramic manufacturing! We are expanding our specialised Acoustics Manufacturing team in Rydalmere and looking for a proactive, safety-focused Production Operator.
Why You’ll Love This Role

What You’ll Be Doing
This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role where no two days are identical. Working directly with our Acoustics team, your key responsibilities will include:
Chemical & Raw Material Handling: Safely measure, blend, and handle process chemicals, raw powders, binders, and solvents in accordance with strict Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and batch recipes.
Thermal & Kiln Operations: Program kiln profiles, manage temperature schedules, execute binder burn-off, and carefully load/unload specialized acoustic products according to strict batch card instructions.
Precision Pressing: Operate high-tech ceramic presses (Isostatic, Meyer, and Osterwalder) and perform crucial material density checks to meet strict quality specs.
Material Processing: Support new batch production—from Ball Milling and Filter Pressing to Calcine Kilns, Binder Burn-off, and Spray Drying equipment.
Equipment & Station Maintenance: Set up workstations, perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines/cooling systems, and help oversee external maintenance contractors.
Quality & Traceability: Maintain flawless records, ensuring all raw materials, chemical batches, and Work in Progress (WIP) are correctly identified and traceable.
Safety & Standards: Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), maintain clean, safe workspaces (5S), and strictly adhere to chemical handling protocols and our dedicated "Lead Area" safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Manufacturing Experience: Background in precision manufacturing, chemical processing, ceramics, metallurgy, or advanced materials handling is highly regarded.
Chemical Safety Awareness: Experience working with process chemicals, binders, or raw powders with a strong understanding of chemical handling protocols.
Strong Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable setting up, operating, and performing basic maintenance on complex industrial machinery.
