At Vix Technology, we're bringing people, technology and services together to make transport work better for everyone. Operating across international markets, we connect and simplify complex transport systems, giving operators the clarity, control and confidence to run better mobility and create simpler, more connected experiences for passengers.

Our goal is simple: better systems, better outcomes and transport that works as one. It's our people who make that possible.

We value those who take ownership, work well with others and aren't afraid to question the default. You'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise, solve meaningful challenges and work alongside people who share your ambition to build great solutions and make a difference.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help build and evolve modern, scalable technology used within our solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working across the technology stack and wants to have a real impact on the products they build. You’ll work primarily with Angular, TypeScript and Java, developing web applications and RESTful APIs within an AWS cloud environment.

The opportunity

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be involved throughout the development lifecycle – from designing and developing new functionality through to automated testing, deployment and ongoing improvement.

You’ll build and maintain modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript, while using Java to develop the services and APIs that sit behind them. You'll design and build RESTful architectures following industry best practice, ensuring our solutions are scalable, maintainable and straightforward to integrate.

Quality will be an important part of how you work. You'll design and develop automated tests and test harnesses, helping us identify issues earlier and giving the team greater confidence as our products continue to evolve.

You'll also work within AWS cloud environments and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated build and testing processes, helping us continually improve how quickly and reliably we can deliver software.

About You

We're looking for engineers who combine strong development fundamentals with the curiosity and problem-solving skills to work across different areas of a technology platform.

You'll Bring

Strong hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript and Java, including developing and maintaining web applications.
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and architectures using recognised industry best practices.
Experience creating automated tests and test harnesses, with a strong focus on software quality.
Practical experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines and automated build and testing processes.
A good understanding of GitHub and source-control best practices, alongside strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Why this role?

This is a great opportunity if you enjoy seeing the bigger picture rather than working on one isolated part of a system.

You'll have the opportunity to work across front-end development, backend services, APIs, cloud technology and automation, collaborating with other engineers to solve interesting technical problems and continuously improve the product.

We're looking for engineers who care about quality, simplicity and building software that lasts. If you enjoy learning, solving problems and taking ownership of what you build, we'd love to hear from you.

What We Offer

Join Vix Technology and be part of a global team making transport work better. You’ll work with talented people to solve real-world challenges in a culture that values collaboration, ownership, fresh thinking and putting customers first.

Alongside this, we offer a range of benefits designed to support you at work and beyond.
